About Shelley

Interests
Since Shelley was a teen she had developed a strong interest in hair care and personal cosmetology. From an early age Shelley would groom and care for many of her friends and family members' hair, simply because she loved it so much. Many of these individuals would come back to Shelley again and again. Therefore, even as a young lady she was already getting lots of practice and developing a strong love and passion for the art of beauty.

Education
After several years of dabbling with various occupations, Shelley decided her life was not complete without pursuing her number one interest. In the spring of 1994 Shelley started her formal education in cosmetology at Adrian Beauty Academy in Adrian, Michigan. Shelley graduated at the top of her class in the spring of 1996.

Experience and Background
In 1996 Shelley moved to Ypsilanti and worked in an "exclusive and popular" beauty salon in Ann Arbor. After working at the this salon for four years and gaining a steady following of clients, she decided to venture out to explore a new opportunity at a different local beauty salon. After one year at the new location, Shelley discovered that her interest was not to simply work for someone else but to work for herself.

The Salon
Shelley and her husband began planning to open her first small beauty salon in October of 2000. By December, renovation and customization of the small beauty salon in Ypsilanti was well under way. The construction and legalization was completed by April, 2001. Shelley opened the doors for business for the first time on April 2, 2001.

Currently
Shelley has had a loyal following of clients over her 11-year career and continues to grow. She expanded her business' services in 2003 by becoming a certified Permanent Makeup artist.
